The board have delivered again. I'm sure the usual mob will have something to moan about however.

Re: Another fine window - Strongest squad ever?
It has been good business and once Carroll, Valencia, Zarate and Song come back into the fold then we have a much stronger squad with competition for places.

Right back isn't a concern for me following the fantastic performances of Tomkins and he can now fight it out with Jenkinson for that position whilst also adding competition for centre back with Collins.

I would try and move on O'Brien now and hopefully Amalfitano and Jarvis will leave before the close of the window.

I am now confident we have enough to have a decent season.

You'd have to say that's pretty damn strong with good cover across the board now, and we 'should' expect a strong and worry free season.

Fair play to the board....been under a lot of pressure, but have come through in the end.

Fantastic business in this window. Our recruitment has been superb since the start of last summer.

We've done well, I think. Lots of good players who improve both the first team and the depth of the squad.

Another wide attacking player would really cap it off, but I think we'll be ok with what we've got.

I would hold on to Jarvis until Christmas as we are still light on wingers.

Chuffed with the Moses signing, he will provide the width we've been craving (especially at home).

Hoping Antonio comes in too. What I've seen of him I like. He's very direct and powerful and £7 million nowadays is a snip for a young player.

Squad it looking good with the new additions.

Amazing work by the owners & staff at the club! Yes Sullivan is a PR nightmare at times, but you have to admire the way he has backed signings!

Song on a 2 year loan from Barca, with a free at the end is an outrageous bit of business!

Not their biggest fan but I'm prepared to eat humble Chapati on this one, good work by all concerned.

Hopefully they'll all work out for once.

'Hopefully they'll all work out for once.'

To be fair, not a lot went wrong with any of the signings from last summer either. All were very good for us.

Re: Another fine window - Strongest squad ever?
Our problem for has either been depth or certainly quality in depth. I would say that problem has been dealt with.

Some really excellent business there. Well done to the chairmen, they're really supporting us in our bid to push on to becoming a top 8/6 team mid term and who knows where longer term...

Re: Another fine window - Strongest squad ever?
Great business and, I echo Coffee here, we do have an exceptionally strong squad.....with more to come.

I like the mix of our squad with youngsters coming through our academy, youngish recruits, the likes of Lanzini, Poyet and Moses and the signing of more experienced players in Payet and Song alongside the established players.

All bodes well for. I haven't been this happy with our potential for many a year.

Aha!

This is the official place to say that I've got a semi, that is rising by the minute, due to this summer's acticviity along with the last couple of days.

Excellent work by the club.

If (IF) we get all our squad fit........no, I don't want to say anymore for fear of being labelled deluded.

No doubt, the geordies will piss on my fire and out it out in a couple of weeks, but......no. I'll stop right now.
